Freetown is the capital city of Sierra Leone. The land
of Mountain, Mangrove, forests and plateau, Sierra Leone got its name in 1462
from a Portuguese sailor, who called it 'Sierra Lyoa' or the Lion Mountains.
The country is located on the Western part of
Africa surrounded by the African nations of Guinea and Liberia and the Atlantic
Ocean.

Leone is the capital city of Freetown. Apart from this, the other major cities
of Sierra Leone are: Koidu (Sefadu); Bo; Kenema and Makeni.
