Ndola

Lusaka is the capital and largest city of Zambia. It is located in the southern part of the central plateau, at an elevation of 1279 m. It has a population of 3,100,000 (2007 estimate). It is a commercial centre as well as the centre of government, and the four main highways of Zambia heads north, south, east and west from it. The two main languages spoken in Lusaka are English and Nyanja.

Ndola is the third-largest city in Zambia, and lies 320 kilometers north of Lusaka.

It is the industrial, commercial, administrative and distribution on the Copperbelt, Zambia's copper-mining region, and capital of Copperbelt Province. It is also the commercial capital city of Zambia and has one of the three international airports, others being Livingstone and Lusaka. It lies just 10 km from the border with DR Congo.Ndola has huge limestone reserves which are believed to be among the most homogeneous of their kind in the world.
The town is the gateway to the mineral producing region of the country and there are many manufacturing industries located here. A fairly good sized city, it serves as the midway stop between Lusaka and Kitwe.
